Solitaire — play Klondike online, free

Klondike, draw one — the patience game that shipped with Windows to teach people how to drag a mouse, and stayed because it is genuinely good.

Controls

• Click a card, then click where it goes
• Double-click — send a card straight to its foundation pile
• Click the deck — turn the next card

How it works

• Build the four foundations up from ace to king, one suit each.
• On the tableau, stack downwards and alternate red and black.
• Only a king moves into an empty column.

One tip

Do not empty a column until you have a king ready for it — an empty column with nothing to put in it is a dead square, not a free one.

What this is

solitaire.exe is one window of DESIRES OS — a shop built as a computer from 2004, where every folder on the desktop is a piece of clothing we made. The games came with the machine, the way they used to.
